Greetings UnGodly Players,
Version 0.14 will be released very soon and is an update that draws from our love of “souls-like games” and makes combat more challenging, more lore-appropriate, and much more tactically rewarding.
Featured Primals
Update 0.14 features two powerhouse Primals you can add to your party:
- Severin: The Dusk Warden (5-star)
- Lyanna: The Storm Zealot (4-star)
Severin, the Dusk Warden, is a Void essence Primal who can harness the power of darkness to increase his attack power. Doing so comes at a price and will reduce his HP. You can leverage his Special attack to deal massive damage as long as you have the HP to spare. You’ll want to partner Severin with Primals who can heal, like Valoria, Verdania, and Damea, to improve his longevity on the battlefield.

Lyanna, the Storm Zealot, is a Storm essence Primal who uses her abilities to speed around the battlefield, dealing damage in quick successive movements. Her passive allows her to inflict Shared Fate to tether multiple enemies together and deal shared damage to them, making it easy to damage large groups of enemies at once. Pair her with Primals who can reduce defences, like Tarik, to make use of her ability to maximize shared damage.

Event & Feature Updates
0.14 continues to evolve the content of the game. We’ve made sweeping updates to some major features and added new scenes to create unique character moments.
Nethermaw Descent
Several balancing passes have been done on the various sanctums in Nethermaw Descent, and mutations have been updated to reflect the start of the new Season. Additionally, we’ve added split-team mutations to add more variety to the challenges you’ll face. Gather a variety of Primals to your roster to take advantage of them.
In this update, we’re resetting the leaderboard and progress of the Nethermaw Descent sanctums to test the new balance changes in the new season, but you can earn rewards for clearing them, even if you had cleared them previously. Aim to clear all the new Sanctums and take over the number #1 spot!
World Bosses
Braethor, The Primordian has undergone some visual improvements, adding a new menacing rock hammer weapon. Challenge him, and take down all his forms for an epic Sorcery Card reward. You can also earn a special role in our Discord community by defeating all his forms. Message the community team or mods in Discord for more details!
Primal Introductions
Throughout the game, new story moments appear. We’re also bringing Tarik and Iselda to life with new character vignettes, moments that show off their personas. Tarik’s intro highlights both his charm and razor‑sharp instincts, while Iselda’s reveals the prophetic fire and mystery that drives her as she tries to break the seal into the Primordian Grove. These scenes unfold naturally in the world as part of the story, and many more are coming in future updates.

Combat & Balancing Updates
We’ve updated areas of the game that directly address feedback from our playtests, community, and feedback sent to our support team. We’ll continue to fine-tune more in future updates to ensure the game is fun and challenging.
Primals
0.14 brings a myriad of changes to combat for both Primals and enemies. Primals getting balancing this release include Tarik, Kaida, Malketh, Valoria, Verdania, Vander, and Damea. Tarik will now debuff the enemy defences of those struck by his Special and Ultimate. Kaida’s Fire Serpent now gains attack speed the longer it’s out on the battlefield. Malketh’s Special cooldown has been adjusted to address being severely overpowered. To balance that change, his growth passive has been upgraded: Heavy attack primes for ice when you charge it up by holding down the attack button. Valoria’s Calling has been changed from Vigor to Might. This will cause her Vigor Sorcery Cards to be unequipped; be sure to update what’s equipped to her to match the new calling. Most of these Primals have also had adjustments to their Passive abilities and Seals. Additionally, the healing output for Valoria, Verdania, and Damea has been increased, making them even more valuable in your team comps. Unlock their Seals to unlock improved healing!
Enemy Factions
In the new update, all enemy factions will now feature specific traits in battle; their difficulty, aggression, and VFX have been updated as well. Going into battle unprepared could cost you victory. Level up your Primals and make use of Relics and Sorcery cards to buff your stats and abilities to overturn advantages the enemies may have.
There are 7 different enemy factions you’ll face in Dunmiir, each gaining traits that will make you need to strategize your encounters with them:
Lucid Temple – These enemies are resistant to Void damage, but vulnerable to Celestial damage
Crooked Crown – All Crooked Crown enemies gain a defence boost, but it is removed when the enemy is Pressured
Twilight Sun – These enemies gain a stacking buff to their attack and speed; however, if they are hit with a crowd control effect, the stacked bonuses are removed
Undead – These enemies cannot receive critical hits. Some of them will resurrect after defeat unless you take them out using Celestial damage
Lawless – The Lawless deal increased damage against crowd-controlled targets
Corrupted – Some Corrupted enemies can leave behind a corrupted zone on the ground during combat. These zones buff other Corrupted while Primals take damage in them. Be careful, some Corrupted will also create these zones when defeated, and Corrupted Brutes will create the zones with their heavy impact attacks
Essence Guardians – These enemies are immune to their matching Essence damage type. They also come primed with their specific Essence type. If you trigger an Essence Burst on them, they will re-prime themselves after a period of time
Check out our official YouTube channel for videos on each of the enemy factions coming soon.
Enemy Blocking
Shielding and Blocking mechanics have also been tweaked for improvements, primarily for Tank-style enemies. When blocking, Tank enemies take no damage from frontal assaults, but attacking from behind, or while they are executing their own attack, will deal damage. Once their attack ends, blocking resumes, but attacking from behind leaves them open for a short period before they can block again. Tanks now have immunity to some crowd control effects while blocking, but they can still be frozen or stunned. Apply enough pressure with Heavy attacks to shatter the Tank’s shield and prevent them from being able to block and gain the upper hand.
Arenas
This update adds an intro to Arenas through a spotlight tutorial. Also, will now have timers. You’ll have to strategize your best team comps to take down enemies before the timer reaches 0.
Rewards
Rewards earned from a variety of sources, including Bosses, Rifts, Crystals, Arenas, and Quests (and more), have all been tuned to match the game’s overall challenge level – and address feedback about the game’s pacing. Additionally, rare relics will now be found exclusively through Nethermaw Gauntlet. As we expand that feature in this update, Relic Hunts will be phased out.
New Tutorials
We’ve added some new tutorials for combat into this update, including: All Essence Burst combinations, Poise Break, Primer, and Ultimate Charge. Note: you’ll need to have unlocked Primals of the Essence that match the tutorial to get access to them. For example, for Firestorm you’ll need a Fire and Storm Primal to unlock the tutorial.
In addition to those combat tutorials, ones for Equipping (and levelling up) Relics, Sorcery Card refinement, Primal Seals, Divine Will, Nethermaw Descent, and Battle Pass have been added.
World Level & General Progression
Update 0.14 revamps a significant portion of the early-game progression for new players, increasing the challenge. Some World Level milestones have been moved or made clearer to align with these changes.
