    Greetings, UnGodly Players!

One of the biggest updates we’ve had in a while, 0.17 is finally here! And there’s a lot to discover! This update brings new challenges, new ways to play, changes to some of your favorite Primals, and some big improvements to the beginning of the UnGodly journey!

We’ve also made several changes based on your feedback, including something the community has been asking for for quite some time. Let’s take a look at what’s new!

    Event & Feature Updates

    Velvet Shroud Updates

We’ve transformed the Velvet Shroud into a new quest hub, making it easier to discover new quests and learn more about the world of UnGodly.

The interior has also received a complete visual makeover, creating a more inviting and adventurous space to explore. With more than eight rooms, two massive chambers, and plenty of hidden corners to discover, there’s a lot more waiting for you inside the Velvet Shroud!

    Pause Menu Updates

We’ve redesigned the Pause Menu to make it easier to find the features you need.

With the new Portal Room in the Velvet Shroud, shortcuts to the Arena, Boss Rush, and Nethermaw Descent have been removed from the Pause Menu. You can now access these activities directly through the Velvet Shroud.

    Nethermaw Gauntlet

The Nethermaw Gauntlet is getting a major update!

You can now take on the Gauntlet multiple times a day by using Gauntlet Keys, which will automatically regenerate over time. Defeat bosses to earn Gauntlet currency and make your way through the Reward Track to claim valuable rewards.

Once you’ve earned enough currency, head over to the Gauntlet Shop, where you’ll find Awakening Stones, Relic Chests, and other useful rewards.

We’ve also changed how you unlock the next Gauntlet tier. You no longer need to wait for the weekly reset! Defeat every boss in your current tier and you’ll be able to move on to the next one and claim the rewards from the Reward Track.

Think you have what it takes to make it all the way to Tier 5?

    The Dice of Fate

A mini-game has now arrived in UnGodly!

Known as the Dice of Fate, this ancient tavern game has emptied countless purses and changed countless lives. Some gamble for coin, others for relics, but all believe the board favors those chosen by fate.

Once you reach the Velvet Shroud, head to the Game Table in the Bar to start a game.

Roll your die and place it on any empty tile. If your die is next to an opponent’s die with a lower value, you’ll capture it and change it to your color.

But fate has its own rules. A 1 can defeat and convert a 6, because sometimes the smallest number can overcome the greatest odds.

Once every tile has been filled, the player with the most dice wins!

    Quality of Life improvements

    Early Game Improvements

One of the biggest changes in this update is happening at the beginning of your journey.

We’ve made major improvements to the early game to create a smoother introduction to UnGodly, with more time to experience the story and get to know the world and its characters.

You’ll find new cutscenes and Storybooks throughout the early game, along with changes to when and how you encounter combat. We want the beginning of your journey to give the story more room to breathe!

We’ve also updated the Nether Angel’s behavior to better fit these changes.

And while you’re exploring, keep an eye out for visual updates to Damea and Syl’aire!

    Guest Authentication

Something the community has been asking for for quite some time, you can now choose to continue playing as a Guest when starting the game!

You’ll also receive reminders to link your Guest account to a supported account, helping keep your progress safe. And if a linked account already exists elsewhere, we’ve added a system to help you resolve account conflicts and get back into the game

    Daily Task Updates

We’ve made Daily Tasks much easier to complete

Khoric will still introduce you to Daily Tasks, but you no longer need to return to him whenever you want to complete them or claim your rewards. You can now take care of everything directly from the menu.

We’ve also made it easier to visit Khoric’s Corner Market. Simply talk to Khoric to open the shop directly.

    Primordian Victory Celebrations

Defeating a Primordian is a huge Victory, and must feel that way!

After defeating a Primordian, you’ll now see a new celebration showing all the rewards you earned, complete with new animations and visual effects.

Your rewards will still be delivered as they normally are, but now you’ll get a moment to celebrate your victory before moving on to your next challenge.

    Quest Rewards updates

We’ve made improvements to the way quest rewards are presented and delivered.

The Saga Book has been removed from the game. Rewards that were previously accessed through it have now been moved to other quests instead, making it easier to understand when and where your rewards are being delivered.

These rewards are also tied to a new celebration that has been added to the game!

    Store Improvements

Looking for something useful? We’ve added a new Recommended tab to the Store to make it easier to find bundles and offers that may be worth checking out.

    Description Improvements

We’ve given Primal, Sorcery Card, and Relic descriptions a visual refresh.

Important information is now highlighted with improved formatting, making it easier to quickly find the details you need when checking abilities, effects, and items.

    Combat & Balancing Updates

    Dash Improvements

We’ve made an improvement to the way dash works in combat!

Dashing while standing still will now cause your active Primal to quickly dash backwards. This gives you a new way to create some distance from enemies and avoid incoming attacks when you need a little extra room.

We’ve also improved how you can recover after being knocked down. Once your Primal touches the ground, you can now use Dash to cancel out of the knockdown and get back into the fight.

    Valoria, The War Priestess

We’ve made some major changes to Valoria, The War Priestess, with a stronger focus on her ability to support and heal your team.

Her Chakram Whirl attacks now scale with her Max HP, while Ritual of Battle provides healing over time when she leaves the battlefield. Her other abilities and passives have also been updated to give your Primals additional healing and lifesteal during combat.

Her Seals have received improvements as well, giving her more opportunities to heal your team and provide support throughout a battle.

    Rowan, The Last Druid

Rowan, The Last Druid, has received a major update to his abilities.

His Stonebreaker and Quicksand attacks now scale with his Defense, while his new Signature Passive, Nature’s Wrath, summons powerful Earth orbs when using Stonebreaker.

These orbs remain active even after Rowan leaves the battlefield and can be launched at enemies when your active Primal uses a Heavy Attack, dealing additional Earth damage.

As you unlock more of Rowan’s Seals, you can increase the number of orbs, cause them to deal damage to nearby enemies, and make enemies more vulnerable to Essence damage.

    Valka, The Gladiatrix

Valka, The Gladiatrix, is getting some combat improvements!

Her Light Attack combo now has five hits, and when she is imbued with Swordsong, her final two Light Attacks will cause a line of earth to erupt from the ground.

    Kyrisse, The Frost Queen

Kyrisse, The Frost Queen, also received some improvements to her attacks.

Her Light Attack combo now has five hits, while her Heavy Attack now strikes twice, giving her attacks some additional impact during combat.

    New Mutation

Pot Rifts have been removed and replaced with a new Mutation centered around Essence Bursts.

Each difficulty provides a different bonus to Essence Burst damage:

    • Easy: Essence Bursts deal 600% additional damage.
    • Medium: Primals deal 50% less damage, while Essence Bursts deal 1200% additional damage.
    • Hard: Primals deal 100% less damage, while Essence Bursts deal 2000% additional damage.

If you’re looking for a different way to approach your battles, this new Mutation will put your Essence Bursts to the test!
